LOL obviously improve and repair the compo area without massive destruction for expenditure of money and without upsetting the character and charm of the beach in other words if it is broken fix it if it isn’t up to code Fix-It improvements and enhancements need not be expensive modest impl adjustments to Ingress and egress Beach parking and prove bathroom Bath House in personal storage facilities additional restrooms at South Beach and some walkway extenders or chewable if done carefully will improve the quality of the beach without changing its character.

The Coalition for Westport does not want to see the plan language and eventually Drift Away Dash another in the town’s many efforts to make constructive changes over the years only to end up in the committee reports graveyard.

We are at the commission to take action so that the construction suggestions of the committee do not go on heated. We are at The Parks and Recreation Commission to be proactive, mindful of the sentiments of many residents who do not want romantic inexpensive changes to one of us ports jewels.

Downtown Westport the Coalition supports the general findings and proposals of the 2014 downtown plan. The RBA group is done an excellent job requirements of a plan for downtown Westport. Bland Builds on unrealized contemporary pass plans that were first developed into work and provide details in the 20017 plan of conservation and development the Coalition encourages the Planning and Zoning commission, the board of Selectmen, and the board of Finance to begin implementation of the near-term initiatives, which one hopes will lead to completion of all the recommendations
Text amendment number 6 7 to a hammer in search of a nail

Text a minute 672 / vote proposed and 2015 by the PNC commission limits the size of downtown commercial space to know more than 10,000 square feet and is it will concede. Yet it passed unanimously on January 8th.

The purpose of the amendment appears to full. First is an attempt to make smaller units in downtown commercial space available to business. But small business and Moss small-size do not necessarily equate. The text Amendment does nothing to assure that small business would be attracted to downtown. A retailer looking for 5000 square feet my very well off for space and lower rent in downtown.

The other purposesThe other purpose is to ensure that downtown is not invaded by big Box retailers this is an old argument whose time has passed the Heyday of the big box movement was the last 25 years. Even Invasion where do of occurred in Westport it would have happened by now by under our present regulations. If anything the trend is away from bricks-and-mortar.

Is one person describe the amendment it is a hammer looking for a nail, a solution looking for a problem. There’s a poor amendment I will surely have consequences for the town’s Attorney office for years to come.. The members of the P&C have not been giving him to disregard the public and install a private vision of what Westport should be. It should surely be a failure of Public Service to serve the best interest of the public
There are Creative solutions other than the amendment which proper diet is penalizes property owners and his can fix it to her creating incentive to reserve smaller downtown retail spaces money answer. The p and Z could explore, in collaboration with the administration in the board of Finance ways to create tax abatements for cooperating Property Owners or other incentives. Texting then it’s take careful planning consideration this one got away without that loves you
