One of the most important responsibilities of the P&Z is planning for the future. The Town Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD) is intended to chart our course for the next decade and is due for revision this year. The POCD should be a collaborative effort among the P&Z, its paid consultants and the public. It should contain realistic but imaginative ideas to accommodate change while also preserving what is worth saving. What we have seen of the P&Z’s work product does not meet these criteria.
